Catania-Spagna, Corp.
Catania-Spagna's roots go back to Guiseppe Basile in the tiny village of San Pero, Sicily. He emigrated to America in 1900 with a few barrels of olive oil and the vision of starting a family business.
The early years were difficult. Operating out of a small office in Boston's North End, the young immigrant built his business the hard way. Even as a one-man operation, he earned a reputation for quality products and personal service. And he expanded into new markets and products.
Now, under the leadership of Anthony and Robert Basile, Catania-Spagna has grown into an industry leader serving many distinct markets: Retail, Food Service, Bulk, Organic, Specialty, Private Label and Export. By continuing the family tradition of uncompromising quality, we have earned the loyalty of trade customers and consumers alike.
